Man dies in rafting accident near Idaho Springs

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY '€“ A 35-year-old man died Saturday afternoon after falling out of a raft in what's known as the "Dizzy Lizzy" area of Clear Creek. The Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office says he fell backward and was pulled out of the water a short time later, not breathing. Attempts to revive him by first responders were unsuccessful. Since the incident happened in the city of Idaho Springs, the sheriff's office says they were able to respond within a minute of receiving the initial call. The victim has not been identified, and the incident remains under investigation.
