Rollover Crash Kills 1, Alcohol Suspected AsFactor

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – Three young adults were involved in a deadly crash on 6th Avenue in Lakewood Monday morning. Police say the driver will likely be arrested for drunk driving, based on evidence from the scene and statements made by the driver at the hospital. Shortly after 1 a.m., a black sedan driving eastbound on 6th Avenue lost control and collided with guardrails at the Sheridan Boulevard exit. The driver and another passenger were taken to the hospital. The car rolled several times and one passenger was ejected.

Lakewood police investigate fatal crash

Lakewood police are investigating a fatal crash early Monday morning at Sixth Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard. Lakewood police notified drivers just after 3 a.m. that Sixth Avenue had been closed during the investigation. It was reopened around 5:30 a.m.

One killed, two injured in rollover accident on Sixth Avenue; victim identified

A driver and two passengers were in the vehicle. One passenger was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified her as 19-year-old Kayla Ann Flinchpaugh. Officials said she died as a result of significant head trauma.
