A 25-year-old woman was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving Wednesday after being involved in two crashes with her 5-year-old son inside the car.
Kendra Marie Trimm was arrested after deing involved in two crashes with her 5-year-old son inside the car. She allegedly rear-ended a vehicle at East 3rd Avenue and Pace Street around 5:45 p.m. before fleeing the scene. A witness followed her and sent updates to authorities. She later crashed into a home at 830 E. 5th Ave., trapping her passengers inside the car. Two people who were riding in the car were able to free themselves and flee the scene. Trimm attempted to leave her five year-old boy with a family next door to the home she crashed into after the accident, and they refused. Trimm and the boy were taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries, including an injury that was causing the child to bleed from the head. Trimm now faces charges of DUI, reckless endangerment, child abuse and leaving the scene of an accident.
