Paramedic injured in traffic incident

SHERIDAN - A paramedic was injured in a traffic wreck Wednesday morning in the 3300 block of West Quincy Avenue in Sheridan. Denver Fire did not know if the ambulance was running their sirens and lights at the time of the traffic incident. Two other ambulances were sent to transport the patient and the paramedic to the hospital. Denver Fire said the ambulance was carrying two paramedics and a patient when the ambulance made a sudden stop. It's unknown at this time whether the ambulance was involved in a crash or stopped to avoid a collision.

A patient who was riding in an ambulance on the way to a hospital and a paramedic were injured Wednesday morning in an accident, Denver firefighters say. Taylor said she does not know how seriously hurt the ambulance patient was at the time of the accident. The accident victims were transported in separate ambulances to a hospital, said Melissa Taylor, Denver fire spokesman. It's not clear whether the Action Care Ambulance involved in the accident crashed into another vehicle or simply stopped suddenly. The accident happened around 8 a.m. near 3350 West Quincy Avenue.
