Serious Crash Involving School Van Closes Moody Road in Enfield.

Moody Road is closed at Somers Road in Enfield following a serious accident involving a school van, according to police.

Four CREC students were injured in the crash. School officials said the school van struck a tree while trying to avoid a pedestrian. It happened on Moody Road around 4 p.m.

Three of the students received cuts and bruises and one lost consciousness. All four were taken to Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, CREC officials said.

It's not clear if the van driver was injured. Neither the driver nor the students have been identified.

School officials said the van was bringing students home from the CREC Museum Academy in Bloomfield when the accident occurred.

Parents will meet with the school superintendent at the hospital.
