State police are investigating after a deadly accident on I-95 north in Guilford this morning.

A New York City man died when the pickup truck he was driving went off the highway onto the road below Wednesday morning.

State Police say the vehicle, a 2010 Ford Ranger, driven by Kastriot Lulaj, 46, of the Bronx, NY, was traveling in the left lane near the Exit 58 on-ramp in Guilford when the car left the roadway and ended up landing from the overpass onto State Street in Guilford.
Kastriot Lulaj was driving on Interstate 95 northbound when his car left the roadway on an overpass and landed on State Street. Lulaj and his passenger, Scott Phillips, were taken to an area hospital. Lulaj was pronounced dead. Phillips recieved treatment for serious but non-life threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
