Pommer is a convicted felon and had drugs and weapons on him when police took him into custody.
A man is facing charges after running from the scene of an accident and then knocking on doors in a neighborhood of Madison, Connecticut. The accident occured on Interstate 95 North in the town of Madison. Richard Robert Pommer, 48, was later found in a residential neighborhood. Police found him at about 8:45 PM after receiving calls stating that he was knocking on doors asking to use a telephone. Pommer is a convicted felon and had drugs and weapons on him when police arrested him. Police state they found 54 folds of herion marked "FOXY," a Glock Model 26 9 mm pistol and 55 9 mm bullets. He was chareged with criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a permit, theft of a firearm, larceny in the fifth degree, and possession of heroin with intent to sell. Pommer was additionally wanted for escape in the first degree, as well as a parole re-arrest warrant and state police arrest warrant. He was held on a $100,000 bonda nd a remand order from the Connecticut Department of Corrections and will appear in court Wednesday.
