A West Haven teen was killed after crashing her Jeep on Interstate 384 eastbound in Manchester over the weekend, according to state police.

State police are asking the public for assistance as they investigate a crash early Saturday that killed a West Haven woman.

Kaitlyn R. Carney, 18, was eastbound on I-384 in Manchester about 3:30 a.m. Saturday when the Jeep Grand Cherokee she was driving went out of control, struck a concrete barrier, and then rolled over. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

State police are asking anyone who saw anything to call Trooper Marcin Pirog at the Hartford barracks at 860-534-1000, ext. 6162.

Carney was a freshman at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury and a graduate of Lyman Hall High School, according to her obituary.
