Teen Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Hit-and-Run Crash

Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver in a New Haven crash that left a teenage pedestrian with life-threatening injuries late Saturday night. An ambulance transported the teenager to an area hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries due to the serious collision. Police are looking for an older model of a white Mitsubishi Eclipse that they believe was involved in the crash. A 17-year-old Bridgeport boy was crossing Whalley Avenue in New Haven near the intersection with Ella T. Grasso Boulevard at about 10 p.m.

Young Driver Turns Self In After Hit-and-Run Leaves Teen Critical

The driver, a 16-year-old boy, turned himself in Sunday afternoon. Charges have not yet been filed, but police said earlier the driver would likely face felony charges in connection with the crash.
