Metrobus and streetcar collide on H Street

A Metrobus traveling along H street struck an eastbound D.C. streetcar Thursday after the bus driver made an evasive maneuver to avoid hitting another vehicle, Metro said. As a result, the accordion portion of the articulated bus struck the mirror of the streetcar in the right lane, Ly said. Metro spokeswoman Sherri Ly said the bus was traveling in the left lane when a vehicle suddenly stopped in front of it. The driver, Ly said, “took evasive action” to avoid rear-ending the vehicle.
