Woman charged in hit-and-run that kills UF student at bus stop

According to police, Karan Khullar, 22, was waiting at a bus stop in front of the Campus Club Apartments on Southwest 37th Boulevard with two friends when Damaris Guerrero-Garcia, 23, drove off the road at high speeds and struck the group, officials said.

Ocala woman sentenced in Gainesville DUI manslaughter

An Ocala woman arrested in February for killing a University of Florida student while driving under the influence was sentenced Tuesday to seven years in prison followed by eight years of drug offender probation by an Alachua County judge.

Very sad incident! A young and promising life is cut short so furiously. Karan must have faced immense trauma and pain. This lady has no right to enjoy life from here on. She has taken away a very innocent face from this world.
