2 Williston men die in weekend crash

Two Williston residents were killed Saturday night in a crash on U.S. 27 in Levy County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol release.

On Saturday at about 6:30 p.m., a 2001 Chevrolet Prizm driven by 32-year-old Curtis Leon Dallas of Williston was southbound on U.S. 27 when it collided with a 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer driven by 58-year-old Deborah Hammonds Bouchard, also of Williston. Dallas’ Chevrolet rolled several times and struck a fence before coming to rest in a cow pasture, according to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol. Dallas was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 55-year-old Rickey Thurline Wilcox, also of Williston, was brougth to Williston General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Bouchard sustained minor injuries. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
