Crash causes flood, water outage at Jax Beach

News4Jax learned that a two-vehicle crash hit a fire hydrant near the intersection of First Street S. and Ninth Avenue, and the impact broke a water main and flooded the street. Water was shut off in the area while a value could be replaced.
Area residents were left without water as they prepared to start their day. "I worked out and now I'm all sweaty, and I have to go to work and now I don't know what to do," said Casey Nolan. "My aunt lives two blocks away, but she doesn't have water, so I can't go there and take a shower."
