Philmore Dillion Jr., 26, dies and Timothy Nou, 23, injured in single-vehicle crash into tree on State Road 13 in Jacksonville.

Troopers say the vehicle was traveling northbound on State Road 13, also known as San Jose Blvd. and was in the outside right turn lane. As the vehicle was traveling in the outside turn lane, it traveled off the roadway to the left. Investigators say the left side of the car collided with a tree. The driver, 26-year-old Philmore Dillion Jr. was taken to UF Health, where he was pronounced dead. The passenger in the car, 23-year-old Timothy Nou had minor injuries. Troopers say both people were wearing a seatbelt. There is no word yet if alcohol was involved.
