Motorcyclist dies after crashing on Old St. Augustine Road

The 30-year-old man, identified as Carl D. Savard, Jr., was transported to UF Health, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
A man on a motorcycle was exiting I-295 southbound to turn north on Old St. Augustine Road when he lost control. The motorcycle turned on its side into the middle of the intersection. The 30-year-old driver was rushed to UF Heath Jacksonville, where he died. He was wearing a helmet, but speed may have been a factor.
