2 people were hurt in a head-on crash in Baker county Saturday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

2 people were hurt in a head-on crash in Baker county Saturday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said that around 3:45 p.m., a 2002 Chevy Blazer driven by Mary L. Rose, 58, of Cocoa, collided with a 2007 Mercury driven by Ronald E. Moore, 65, of Jacksonville. They said the Blazer tried to change lanes on I-10 eastbound west of SR-229 but the driver did not realize the right lane was occupied by a motorcyclist. The Blazer steered back to the left lane, but lost control, crossing the grass median. It traveled into the path of the Mercury, striking it head-on. Both vehicles came to a final rest on the right shoulder disabled.

Rose was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with critical injuries. Moore was also taken to UF Health, but with serious injuries. Troopers said both drivers were wearing seat belts.
