A Yulee man faces DUI and careless driving charges after his car rear-ended a Nassau County Sheriff's Office patrol car Thursday night on State Road 200.

A Yulee man faces DUI and careless driving charges after his car rear-ended a Nassau County Sheriff's Office patrol car Thursday night on State Road 200.

The Florida Highway Patrol says 25-year-old Stephen Lee Coleman was heading west on S.R. 200 between Fernandina Beach and Yulee about 7:30 p.m. when his car struck a marked rear-ended the cruiser driven by 45-year-old William Wettstein.

Wettstein and his passenger, 29-year-old Eric Oliver, suffered minor injuries and were taken to St. Vincent's Hospital for treatment. Both are deputies for the Nassau County Sheriff's Office.

Coleman was not injured in the crash.

According to the FHP report, Coleman had been drinking. He was arrested and taken to the Nassau County jail and held on $10,000 bond.
