Mother Killed, Kids Struck While Crossing Palmetto Expressway
"The question that we have is what is that large group doing crossing the Palmetto, which is very dangerous?" Sanchez said.
A group consisting of 7 children and 3 adults was attempting to cross the very busy Palmetto Expressway when they were struck by a vehicle. Johnson was pronounced dead, and three others, including a child that had severe life-threatening injuries, were airlifted to hospitals. It is unclear how many others, if any, were injured and to what extent, or why the group was attempting to cross the dangerous highway.

When someone has been injured in a car crash, it's hard to know what to do to help. Injured people need appropriate medial treatment, but they also need to have their civil and legal rights protected.
After a serious crash, several steps need to be taken, including dealing with the insurance companies, tracking and documenting lost income from missed work, coordinating medical bill payments, and handling an insurance claim.
