Turnpike NB in Broward Reopens After Deadly Morning Crash

Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Mark Wysocky said the vehicle appears to have lost control before entering the toll booth area, flipping over the booths before coming to a stop, ejecting all four passengers - including one who ended up in the northbound lanes of the Turnpike.

A fatal early Tuesday morning crash involving what officers say was a stolen car had the Florida’s Turnpike closed northbound in Broward County as officials investigated the scene.

The three men who died in the Broward County crash are Matthew F. Bryan, 17, and Kevin F. Bryan, 18, both of Miramar; and Yostein L. Martinez, 18, of Hialeah Gardens. Cesar O. Pina, 19, of Opa Locka, is still in critical condition at Broward Health North hospital.
