Miami-Dade Police Captain Tyrone White killed and Lisa White injured in crash on Griffin Road in Cooper City, Florida

Patriots running back James White did not suit up to play on Sunday night in Seattle, after learning that his father died in an automobile accident.

White’s father, Tyrone, died in a crash that took place in Florida on Sunday afternoon, while his mother — who was also in the car — is in critical condition.

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson also sent condolences to James White prior to kickoff. Wilson and White were teammates at Wisconsin.

James White’s former teammate Tom Brady was among many in the NFL community who expressed their condolences to the White family.
