Motorcyclist, 23, killed in Dania Beach crash
Authorities say Deland Alexander Wheeler, of Davie, was headed east in the 3400 block of Griffin Road on a red Honda motorcycle "at a high rate of speed" when he crossed paths with a Lexus. The crash happened at about 9:40 p.m. Liran Hassin, 38, was driving out of a plaza on the south side of Griffin Road, attempting to turn left, the sheriff's office said.
