Hallandale Beach Police on Tuesday said they have arrested a man in connection to a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 12-year-old girl.

A 12-year-old girl who was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Hallandale Beach last week has died of her injuries, police said Monday.

A 12-year-old girl who was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Hallandale Beach last week has died of her injuries, police said Monday.
Shania Jackson died Sunday as a result of the injuries she suffered in the Nov. 18 incident, Hallandale Beach Police said.
According to police, witnesses said Jackson was crossing the road in the 600 block of Forester Road when a car swerved toward her. Jackson was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
The driver hasn't been found. Police said they are pursuing leads in the case and are requesting assistance from the public.
