Davie woman dies in Islamorada head-on crash

Debra Antonello, 58, of Davie, died Saturday after the car she was riding in struck two other vehicles along U.S. 1 at Snake Creek Bridge in Islamorada, according to Florida Highway Patrol. William Antonello, 57, another passenger, was in serious condition and Brent Antonello, 30, the car's fourth passenger, suffered minor injuries, according to an incident report. "Praying for the Antonello family and all of you in the [Plantation United Methodist Preschool] family," said one comment posted Monday afternoon. According to Facebook, Debra Antonello worked as a teacher at Plantation Methodist Preschool. Antonello was a passenger in a Volvo sedan that struck the car in front of it when traffic slowed down because of congestion, FHP said.
