Police are investigating a deadly head-on crash in Southwest Miami-Dade that killed three people and sent two others to the hospital early Sunday.
The violent wreck happened around 1:45 a.m. in the area of Krome Avenue and Southwest 144th Street, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
"The impact was so severe that both vehicles caught on fire," a FHP spokesman said.
The FHP is still investigating the cause of the crash.
