Arrest Made in Hit-and-Run Crash That Killed Skateboarder: MDPD

Miami-Dade Police have made an arrest in connection with a a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a teenage skateboarder. The incident happened just before 9:15 p.m. near Northwest 108th Street and Northwest 12th Avenue. Investigators say Pereira was skateboarding on 12th Avenue when he was struck by Fleuricourt. Fleuricourt was charged and taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. According to police, 28-year-old Gabriel Fleuricourt turned himself in to police and confessed that he was behind the wheel of a 2007 Hyundai Sonata when it fatally struck 16-year-old Cash Pereira as he rode on a skateboard Monday night.
