It seemed to involve at least three vehicles, including a white car, which was on its side at the scene. The police motorcycle was seen crumpled on the other side of the road.

In total, 12 people were involved in the crash in the westbound lane of Southwest Eighth Street, which was shut down during the busy Tuesday afternoon rush hour. Besides the critically injured, two others were taken to the hospital. Seven people were treated at the scene.

The funeral service and burial will be held on Friday at the at 9 a.m. at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium.
