Car crashes into pedestrians in Oakland Park

Police responded to reports of a crash that injured four people, including a child, Monday.

Woman, 55, dies from injuries in Oakland Park sidewalk crash

The crash happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. Monday as Etienne and her son were walking north on a sidewalk in front of the Holy Cross HealthPlex. They were hit by an SUV that was heading south along North Dixie Highway when it veered off the roadway near Northeast 56th Street, according to the sheriff's office.

Man charged in crash that killed woman, led to amputation of son's leg

Hamlar was arrested Thursday when prosecutors said they found out he was planning to catch a flight to Michigan from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. He is facing a total of 29 charges, including DUI manslaughter, reckless driving and drug possession.

whats the update on this case? Rumor has it the driver was intoxicated on ghb with illegal dangerous drugs in the suv and the police just let him walk right out of the hospital and now according to his Facebook page he's traveling around the country still able to rent cars and drive freely.
