The crash happened about 5 a.m. when the red, Ford pickup the three were in left the northbound lanes of the turnpike about a mile north of Sunrise Boulevard and rolled over, according to the Florida Highway Patrol

Daniel Laguna, 47, of Coconut Creek, was pronounced dead at the scene. Also in the truck were Greysi Yajaira Flores Bonilla, 26, of Durham, N.C., and Yokairi Paredes Diaz, 35, of Raleigh, N.C.
