"It's not a blank slate. They have good information, they have good leads," Broward Sheriff's spokeswoman Gina Carter said Tuesday. "They haven't been able to translate that into an arrest yet."

A fatal hit-and-run collision in Pompano Beach resulted in the death of Fredricka Howard. The collision happened about 2:45 a.m. Saturday when the driver of a white Ford F-150 hit her car and fled the scene on West Atlantic Boulevard near Northwest 16th Avenue. Howard was heading south on Northwest 16th Avenue on Saturday when she tried to cross West Atlantic Boulevard. Investigators are continuing their investigation.
