Driver dies while speeding away from Pompano car crash

As he attempted a left turn into Northeast 10th Street, he hit a southbound Toyota Yaris, according to Keyla Concepcion, sheriff's spokeswoman. The woman driving the Toyota Yaris and her passenger were both taken to a Broward Health North with injuries that were not life threatening. A driver fleeing the scene of a crash died after he lost control of his car, rolling it and hitting a tree late Friday, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. The incident began at 10:40 p.m., when the man was heading north on Federal Highway in Pompano Beach. The damage to his car from the initial accident caused him to lose control and veer off the roadway.
