Pompano Plane Crash Survivors Remain In The Hospital
POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) – Three people on board a plane that crashed into the backyard of a Pompano Beach home survived and are recovering. The Broward Sheriff’s Office identified the three as pilot instructor Geoff White and students Sylvia Mena of Ecuador and Fernando Diaz of Peru.

As crews raced to the scene, concerned residents described the fiery crash on the 900 block of Northeast 26th Avenue, just west of the Intracoastal Waterway, at around 3 p.m. "There's been a horrible explosion right across the street from my home," said a resident.
