Fiery Tamarac Crash Kills One, Injures Two Others

A man the Broward Sheriff's Office says was driving erratically died when he crashed head-on with another vehicle in Tamarac early Saturday morning. The driver of the Jeep, identified as 36-year-old John Heeb of Tamarac, was airlifted to Broward Health Medical Center in critical condition.  "It was consistent with somebody who was possibly an impaired driver," said Dani Moschella with the Broward Sheriff's Office.
A man died when he collided head-on with another car in Tamarac early Saturday morning. A BSO deputy observed a black Infiniti driving erratically around 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning, and tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver sped away, heading eastbound on Commercial Boulevard. The deputy followed policy and did not begin a chase, but put out a "be on the lookout". A 911 call came in minutes later regarding a collision on Commercial Blvd, where the driver of the Infiniti crossed over the median and crashed head-on with a Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV.
