OCSO Investigates Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Mary Esther
According to reports, around 9:20 p.m. Saturday, Joseph Leppado, 72, was pushing his wheelchair and walking his dog east on Hollywood Boulevard in Mary Esther when he was hit by a man driving a pick-up truck. The incident took place near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Jonquil Avenue. Leppado was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, PAWS responded to the scene to take custody of the dog.
