PENSACOLA, Fla. - A Pensacola man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle Friday night.An SUV hit the pedestrian at 9th Avenue and Strong Street just after 7 p.m.Pensacola police officers identified the pedestrian as 64-year-old Joseph Mason of Pensacola. Police say he was crossing 9th Avenue. Police say Mason was drinking and not in a crosswalk. They also add that there were no lights in the area.The driver was in a Cadillac Escalade and was not hurt.Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
