It's unknown why Baxter was driving in the opposite direction of traffic, FHP Sgt. Kim Montes said.
A 74-year-old wrong way-driver died in a head-on crash that injured three other people early Wednesday on U.S. Highway 192 in Osceola County. Bruce Baxter was driving a Buick and was heading eastbound on the westbound lane of U.S. 192 in St. Cloud at 1:05 a.m.  The Buick hit a 2002 Ford SUV in a head-on collision, and the driver of the Buick was killed. The collision caused the SUV to roll over and hit a 2011 Jeep SUV. The driver of the Ford SUV, identified as George Perez, 24, of Lakeland, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne. His passenger, Alyssa Stansell, 26, of Lake Worth, and the driver of the Jeep SUV, Enrique Martinez, 39, of Sunrise, suffered minor injuries and were also taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center.
