According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Dolicia Meregildo, of Deltona, was driving south on S.R. 415 when she suffered some type of medical episode and traveled across the northbound lanes before hitting a fence.

The 2013 Hyundai Meregildo was driving crossed the northbound lanes, left the roadway, hit a fence and traveled into a ditch.

Montes added that Meregildo’s children – 8-year-old Xavier Meregildo and 5-year-old Isabella Meregildo – were in the backseat when the accident happened, but neither of them were hurt.

Dolicia Meregildo was driving on State Road 415 near Lemon Bluff Road with her children in the back seat when she suffered some type of medical episode and traveled across the northbound lanes, hitting a fence. She was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital where she later died. How many children were in the car and if they were injured has not been released.
