The FHP said the vehicle flipped back onto its tires and crashed into a tree before flipping back onto its roof.

"When troopers got into the vehicle, they noticed the 17-year-old girl was not seat belted, and she still had her cellphone in her hand," FHP Sgt. Kim Montes said.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, 17-year-old Brianna Nelson of Edgewater was killed in a 1 a.m. crash on Interstate 95 at mile marker 251 in Volusia County. Nelson was driving a Suzuki Forenza south on I-95 near State Road 44 when for unknown reasons she left the roadway, and her vehicle overturned. She was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say distracted driving could have been a factor in the accident.
