A conductor told deputies that they began blowing the train's horn when they saw the woman, but they couldn't stop the 6,000-foot CSX freight train before hitting her.

The Sheriff's Office reports that woman was apparently drunk and upset about a recent breakup when she was lying next to a train track. Two conductors found the woman, pulled her from under the train and used a belt to make a tourniquet for her arm. The woman is hospitalized in critical condition.
