Driver sought in Daytona Beach hit-and-run

Daytona Beach police are searching for a driver who struck and seriously injured a scooter operator in a hit-and-run crash.
Timothy Gordon was riding a scooter on Orange Avenue Bridge when a white car struck him and then fled the scene. The force of the impact was so great that parts of the car were imbedded in the scooter. Gordon was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Police are trying to find the driver responsible for the crash. Gordon was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
