I-4 ramp reopens after rollover crash.

A busy Central Florida road was closed for several hours early Monday after a rollover crash sent a man to the hospital.

A busy Central Florida road was closed for several hours early Monday after a rollover crash sent a man to the hospital.

The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. on Maitland Boulevard at the eastbound Interstate 4 off ramp.

According to Maitland Police, the driver of a pickup truck was exiting I-4 when he failed to negotiate the curve to merge onto eastbound Maitland Boulevard.

Police said the pickup truck continued driving straight through a guardrail and overturned several times before it came to a rest.

The driver, who police described as a man in his early 20s, was rushed to the hospital after being trapped inside his truck for nearly 30 minutes.

Police said the driver was critically injured in the accident, but is expected to survive.

Maitland Boulevard was reopened around 6 a.m.
