A pedestrian struck by a vehicle and left on the side of a road is recovering from his injuries as Florida Highway Patrol troopers continue their search for the driver.

A pedestrian was walking along the side of West State Road 40 when he was struck from behind by a vehicle and pushed into a ditch. Passerby were able to summon an ambulance, and he was taken to the hospital in good condition. Police are still searching for the vehicle that hit him.
