Motorcyclist killed, one other injured, after multi-vehicle crash on I-4.

A motorcyclist was killed early Monday in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 4 in Orlando, prompting officials to close the roadway.

All eastbound lanes of I-4 were closed from Kirkman Road to the Florida Turnpike because of the wreck, which occurred around 2:30 a.m. The interstate reopened about five hours later.

The motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. At least one other person was injured in the three-vehicle crash.

The cause of the crash is not known, and Orlando police continue to investigate.

Police initially said up to six vehicles were involved in the crash.
