According to the FHP, Smith was riding in an unknown direction in the eastbound lanes of S.R. 50 when he was struck by a vehicle. Smith was then hit by two other vehicles, according to troopers.

A 20-year-old Orlando man riding a bicycle was struck by three vehicles and killed in a hit-and-run crash in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The man, whose name has not been released, died after the crash, which occurred around 2:30 a.m. Friday on State Road 50 near Tanner Drive. According to the FHP, the cyclist was riding in an unknown direction in the eastbound lanes of S.R. 50 when he was struck by a vehicle. The man was then hit by two other vehicles, according to troopers. The FHP said two of the three vehicles drove off after the crash. A 32-year-old man driving a Honda Civic remained at the scene, said troopers, who added that the driver of the car was not injured. No details about the other two cars were known, troopers said.
