2 killed in Orange County crash identified

A crash killed two people and shut down roads in Orange County on Wednesday afternoon.

At around 11:45 a.m. on Apopka Vineland Road and Hackney Prairie Road two vehicles collided, resulting in the deaths of Lidiya Varvak of Orlando and Joel Shoaf of Clermont. The roadway was blocked while police investigated the scene.

Joel was a great father, wonderful husband, and my best friend.  We miss him so much.
