Cocoa teen killed in US 1 construction zone crash
The teen killed was identified as Kentral Lamont Welch of Cocoa, authorities said. Florida Highway Patrol troopers said he was wearing a seat belt. The ninth-grader attended Brevard County Public School's North Alternative Learning Center. Grief counselors were on site at the school to talk about the incident, district officials say.
