Skateboarders Brandon Keif, 19, and Emmanuel Galarza, 18, injured in collision with hit-and-run vehicle at Lake Howell and Maywood roads near Winter Park, Florida

A teenager from Altamonte Springs is in critical condition after he was struck along with another skateboarder in a hit-and-run crash between Winter Park and Goldenrod, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers were searching for the driver of a silver Mazda 3 who allegedly fled the scene of the crash at about 11:50 p.m. The Mazda fled the scene, Montes said, though the right-side passenger mirror was recovered. Galarza was listed as being in critical condition at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Because of that recovered part and a witness, troopers believe they were looking for a 2014 or 2015 silver or gray Mazda 3.
