Panama City man sentenced to prison for killing man in drunk driving crash

The Panama City man who killed a motorcyclist in a 2014 drunk driving crash was sentenced Thursday to 10 years in prison. Brent Alexander Taylor, 20, entered his plea of guilty on January 7th. Back in December 2014, he was driving on State Road 77 when he ran off the road and hit James Thorndyke. Thorndyke had stopped and gotten off his motorcycle near Spikes Road. Following his prison time, Taylor is to serve 42 months probation.

Southport Man Dead After Morning Crash

The driver, 19-year old Brent Taylor was charged with DUI Manslaughter and was taken to the Bay County Jail. 
A Southport man was killed from a crash early Sunday morning in Bay County. 33-year-old James Thorndyke was standing by his motorcycle on the shoulder near Highway 77 and Spikes Road around 6 a.m. Sunday when he was hit by a passing vehicle. Thorndyke was pronounced deceased at the crash site.
