Nine-Year-Old Dies After ATV Crash in Holmes County

Florida Highway Patrol officials say the boy was driving on Tri County Airport Road in Holmes County northeast of Bonifay. A nine-year-old boy from Bonifay is dead after an ATV crash that happened around 3:30 Sunday afternoon. The boy was thrown from the vehicle and into a ditch, where the ATV then ran over him. They say the girls suddenly stopped in the roadway as a group of dogs ran by. The nine-year-old turned to avoid the UTV, but still crashed into it.
