Sneads woman dies in crash, 3 others, including child, in critical condition
According to the FHP news release, Victoria Jean Sherrod, 26, was driving east on U.S. 90 with her daughter, 6-year-old Laila Sherrod, as a passenger in a 2012 Nissan Altima. Meanwhile, Felecia Simpson, 52, and her spouse, 53-year-old Vance Simpson, were driving west in a 1999 KIA Sorento on U.S. 90, officers reported. Victoria Sherrod crossed the broken yellow centerline of the highway just east of Walden Road into the path of the Simpsons when the two cars crashed head-on, FHP reported. Felecia Simpson was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The remaining victims in the crash were rushed to Tallahassee Memorial hospital for treatment, FHP reported. Victoria Sherrod and Laila Sherrod were not wearing seat belts, according to the FHP report, while the Simpsons were secured.
