Dump Truck Crash Traps Driver For Two Hours

The driver of a dump truck is in the hospital following a crash Wednesday afternoon. Witnesses tell WJHG-TV and WECP-TV that it looks like the dump truck had a tire blow out as it was headed south on highway 79. The accident shut down the southbound lanes of highway 79 for more than an hour. It happened about 12:45 on Highway 79 just south of the Washington County-Bay County line. The driver was trapped for about two hours while emergency crews worked to free him.
